About Supervision with Zac
Hello and welcome! I’m Zac, and I’m delighted you’re considering supervision with me. Here’s a bit about what you can expect when we work together and how I can support you.
My Supervision Offerings
I offer both individual and group supervision to social workers at various stages of their careers. Whether you’re seeking a consistent one-on-one reflective space or hoping to connect with others through themed group supervision, I aim to provide a thoughtful, collaborative environment that supports your development and wellbeing.
My Background and Approach
I’ve been providing supervision for several years, supporting social workers across different roles and career stages. I’m particularly passionate about creating spaces where relational reflection, curiosity, and professional identity can flourish. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and pays close attention to the relational dynamics present in therapeutic work—as well as in the supervision relationship itself.
In both individual and group settings, I value building a strong supervisory alliance, attending to power and context, and helping supervisees explore the nuances of their work. I bring a deep respect for the social work profession and a particular interest in supporting early-career practitioners, especially those working in generalist mental health roles, where the unique contributions of social work are sometimes overlooked.
If you're pursuing or considering AASW Mental Health Accreditation, I also offer support with the application process, navigating practice standards, understanding Focused Psychological Strategies (FPS), and preparing for the case study exam.
What to Expect
In individual supervision, we usually meet for 55–60 minutes. In our first session, we’ll discuss your goals, reflect on your strengths, and identify the areas you’d like to explore. Together, we’ll create a flexible supervision plan that suits your needs, with regular reviews along the way.
In group supervision, I offer a series of small, themed groups (e.g., Queer clinicians, early-career practitioners, identity and practice), where participants can reflect together, build relational awareness, and share professional insights. Each group runs across five sessions, with a maximum of four participants to allow for depth and connection.

Individual supervision:
$180 (self-funded)
$200 (organisation-funded)
Concession rates available—please reach out if finances are a barrier.
